Cork County Board will meet tonight to begin the process of appointing a new hurling manager. Denis Walsh’s three year contract ended following their recent defeat to Galway and the rebels are seeking a new man to lead them forward.
At present it is unclear what,if any, say the current squad will have on the appointment of the new boss. Walsh has already said that he would be prepared to stay on for another term if there is enough support for him within the county and the panel.
The county board will invite motions at tonight’s meeting regarding how the new boss should be appointed. While players have had an input into the decision in the past,it has not yet been decided if they will do likewise on this occasion.
