Free agent Danny Gabbidon is training with QPR as he contemplates a move to the Premiership new boys.

The 31 year old former Cardiff and West Brom defender is available on a Bosman after seeing out his contract with West Ham, whom he joined in 2005.

Speaking to Skysports.com the Welsh International said “I am training with QPR at the minute and let’s see what happens.”I have been impressed by the manager’s ideas for the club and what he intends to do in the Premier League next season.”

With Neil Warnock on the lookout for defensive re-enforcements a move for Gabbidon could fit the player and the QPR manager will cast an eye over the player on QPR’s tour of the West Country.

Sportsnewsireland.com will have live score updates on all GAA Championship matches over the summer.
