St Johnstone beat Hibs to Sheridan

According to reports emanating from Scotland St Johnstone have beaten Hibernians to the signature of Irish striker Cillian Sheridan

The former Celtic star had been keen to return to Britain after failing to settle with CSKA Sofia in Bulgaria.

The 22 year old made a strong start to life in the Bulgarian capital however the managerial and financial uncertainty at the club; Sheridan has played for three different manager in his short spell in Eastern Europe as well enduring delays with his wages had an unsettling effect on the player.

Sheridan had a trial with MLS side Seattle Sounders earlier in the summer before linking up with Hibs on trial, scoring in a pre season friendly against East Fife.

The players looked set for Edinburgh before Derek McInnes stepped in with a last minute bid to capture the player on a six month loan deal.
