In one of the summer’s stranger moves Levante have confirmed on their official website that they have sold striker Felipe Caicedo to Lokomotiv Moscow less than two months after signing him.

The Ecuadorian international only joined Levante on a permanent basis this summer following an impressive loan spell last season with the Spanish side paying Manchester City €1 million euro for his services.

However Levante now stand to make a large profit with reports in Spain indicating that Lokomotiv are prepared to pay 7.5 million euro to land the player

That fee could rise to as much as €10 million if Lokomotiv Moscow reach the Champions League in the next four years or if the former Basel striker scores more than 15 goals in a season.

Caicedo joined Manchester City 2008, but failed to make an impact in England and spent time on loan with Sporting and Malaga joining Levante last season.
