Updated: July 24, 2011

Everton, Bolton and a Darron Gibson led Manchester United XI all enjoyed pre season victories on Sunday.

First up were Everton, who rounded of their US tour early Sunday morning with a 3-1 win over MLS side DC United on Saturday night.

Goals from Victor Anichebe and Diniyar Bilyaletdinov put the Toffees two up in the opening 16 before Chris Pontius pulled a goal back shortly after the restart when he beat Jan Mucha. However the 2 goal advantage was restored when Magaye Gueye scored Everton’s third on 81 minutes from Jermaine Beckford’s cross.

Meanwhile across the other side of the Globe, a strong performance from Chelsea saw them run out 4-0 winners over a Thai All Star team. Frank Lampard, Jose Bosingwa, Branislav Ivanovic and Florent Malouda all scoring as Andre Villa-Boas continued his 100% winning start.

Frank Lampard opened the scoring 8 minutes before half time with a trademark finish before three goals in a dominant second half saw the Blues home.

Bolton also managed to score four goals as they continued their own fine pre season form with a 4-1 win over Bradford. Martin Petrov, Darren Pratley, Kevin Davies and Ivan Klasnic all scored as Owen Coyle’s side clinched a third straight pre season win.

While the senior side were slow to get off the mark in their 3-1 win over the Chicago Fire, a Manchester United XI with Gibson at centre half, had no such problems as they eased to a 7-1 win over Spartans.

John Cofie opened the scoring for the United reserves on 6 minutes however Spartans dragged themselves into it and equalised 3 minutes before half time through a Alex King penalty.

However that was as good as it goes for the Spartans as United ran ragged in the second half scoring 6 unanswered goals. Jesse Lingard scored a hat trick with Michael Keane and Larnell Cole with a brace sealing the win. will have live score updates on all GAA Championship matches over the summer.
