Celtic boss Neil Lennon has said that he will contact Manchester City in an attempt to take striker Craig Bellamy on loan. However, the Irish man admitted that the club may not be able to afford the players wages.
Lennon plans to speak with representatives of the FA Cup winners this weekend when both clubs take part in the Dublin Super Cup.
He told the Daily Telegraph: “There is interest, but it is dictated to by finances. I hope to catch up with [City] while they are here and see if we can take it from there.”
Bellamy had a very successful loan period with Celtic six years ago when he was a Newcastle player. Last season he was on loan at Cardiff City but Lennon is hopeful that he may fancy a return to Glasgow.
