Arsenal chase Wolves winger

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger looks set to make a surprise bid for Wolves winger Matt Jarvis, according to reports in the Daily Mail.

Wenger needs to have cover in his midfield, with skipper Cesc Fabregas almost surely set to join Barcelona and Samir Nasri refusing to sign a new contract. Jack Wiltshere and Theo Walcott are both out injured and will miss the start of the season.

Wenger has been impressed with Jarvis over the past couple of months and Arsenal scouts have watched the Wolves winger during pre season.

Jarvis was a key player for Wolves last season has his performances helped the side avoid relegation from the Premier League. He also made his England debut against Ghana in a friendly in March and is seen as a real player of the future.
