Milan Jovanovic looks set to end his Liverpool nightmare after Anderlecht announced they had struck a deal to sign the midfielder.
The Belgian side have reached an agreement with the Premiership side over the signing of the 30 year old and are set to finalise the deal on Thursday.
Jovanovic joined Liverpool on a free transfer from Standard Liege last summer, having impressed former Reds boss Rafael Benitez, however he never played under the Spaniard and failed to establish himself under subsequent manager’s Roy Hodgson and Kenny Dalglish.
The Serbian international has been linked with Anderlecht for several weeks now but the move looks set to finally happen with a statements on Liverpoolfc.tv, the club’s official website confirming that a deal had been agreed “Liverpool confirmed this evening they have reached agreement with Anderlecht for the transfer of Milan Jovanovic.”
