According to reports in England Spurs have made a move for Blackburn’s Chris Samba.

It is understood that a cash plus players offer has been submitted for the 6ft 4” centre half.

Arsenal were believed to be head of the queue for the former Sedan player but they have since switched their attention’s to Everton’s Phil Jagielka.

Despite signing a new long term deal last February, Samba has indicated he would be willing to move to a Champions League chasing side, and Spurs boss Harry Redknapp believes he can offer him that opportunity.

At this point no details of the players involved in any deal have been revealed but with the likes of Peter Crouch, Robbie Keane, Wilson Palacios and Niko Kranjcar all linked with departures from White Hart Lane, Blackburn boss Steve Kean could be tempted in a cash plus player deal despite being keen to keep Samba.
