Pre season: Bolton, Everton & QPR lose

Bolton and Everton both lost to Spanish sides while QPR lost to lower league Luton on the latst round of pre season friendly’s on Friday night

At the Reebok stadium, despite giving home debuts to summer signings Chris Eagles, Nigel Reo-Coker and Darren Pratley, Bolton couldn’t find a way past the Levante backline with Martin Petrov and Ivan Klasnic going close before a goal from Iborra with 10 minutes sealed a win for the La Liga outfit.

Meanwhile at Goodison Park, Everton, went down 1-0 to Villarreal , a superb free kick from Italian striker Giuseppe Rossi sealing the win.

Despite dominating the match for large periods David Moyes side couldn’t break down their visitors and to make matters worse they also had Irish international Seamus Coleman carried off the pitch with an ankle injury shortly before half-time.

Finally despite seeing DJ Campbell scoring less than a minute in to his debut, QPR went down 3-1 to Luton at Kenilworth Road.

Goals from Matthew Barnes-Homer, Amari Morgan-Smith and Adam Watkins earning the Blue Square Premier side a memorable win.
