The Irish Single scullers Paul O’Donovan and Holly Nixon have both qualified for the A final at the World Rowing Junior Championships in England.

O’Donovan and Nixon were each successful in their semi-finals on Saturday afternoon and will be hoping to repeat the results in today’s finals at Dorney Lake. It would be a huge result for the sport in Ireland were either to be successful, especially as the venue has already been confirmed as part of next year’s Olympic programme.

The women’s A Final is scheduled for 11.30am on Sunday, followed by the men’s A Final at 11.45am.

Sportsnewsireland.com will have live score updates on all GAA Championship matches over the summer.
