KENNY Dalglish has moved to shore his defence with a move for Birmingham star Scott Dann.

A clean sheet against Valencia aside, Liverpool pre season’s has been littered with goals with 15 shipped in 5 friendly’s against the likes of Hull, Valerenga and Galatasaray as the Reds have missed the presence of the injured Martin Skrtel.

Dalglish plans to make the 24 year old his fifth summer signing and is set to offer 8 million for his services; the Scot was keen on signing the Liverpool born star earlier in the summer but instead opted for big money moves for Jordan Henderson, Charlie Adam and Jordan Henderson.

However he has shifted his attentions back to the player who missed half of last season after picking up a hamstring injury in January.
