McCourt in unlikely Liverpool move

In what seems like a long shot Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is understood to be on the trail of Celtic winger Paddy McCourt, who scored a fantastic goal for Northern Ireland last week.

Today’s Mirror reports that Dalglish sees McCourt as a possible “explosive impact sub” to be sprung from the bench occasionally. The winger has not been the most consistent of players for Celtic and mixes the good with the bad, but Liverpool are on the lookout for a quality winger and see the Irish man as an option.

The former Derry City star would almost certainly fancy a chance to show his wares in the Premiership and must be a realistic target for the Reds should Dalglish pursue his interest.
