Republic of Ireland striker Andy Keogh has joined Leeds United on loan until January from Premier League side Wolves.

The 25-year-old could be set to make the deal permanent, if he impress at Elland Road during his period at the club.

“Andy will strengthen our striking options,” manager Simon Grayson told the club’s official website.

Leeds have nothing to show from their opening two games this season and are hoping that Keogh, who began his career as a trainee with the club, can turn their season around.

“He’s got plenty of experience, having played a lot at this level and in the Premier League,” Grayson added.

“He’s also returning to the club where he started his career so he knows what it’s like here and understands the place.”
