Mayo duo Trevor Mortimer and Peadar Gardiner are both doubtful for Sunday’s All Ireland semi final clash with Kerry at Croke Park.
The two men sat out training last Sunday and management are particularly worried about Gardiner, who faces a tough battle to make the side. Mortimer has a quad muscle injury while Crossmolina man Gardiner is struggling with a hamstring problem.
“Trevor will more than likely be okay but Peadar is 50-50,” selector Paul Jordan said yesterday. He added that no decision will be made until Friday.
Midfielder’s Seamus and Aidan O’Shea picked up slight injuries in club action but came through a trial game on Sunday and are expected to have no further problems.
