Irish youth international Aiden O’Brien has signed a new deal that keeps him at The Den until the summer of 2014.

The 17 year old has impressed with the Lions and his progress was rewarded during the summer when he joined the senior squad for the pre-season tour of Ireland this summer.

O’Brien featured in two games in Ireland, playing against Shelbourne and Longford town and the English born striker was delighted to tie his immediate future to the club, telling the clubs official website: “It’s an amazing feeling to sign this contract”

To get a three-year contract shows that there is faith in me. It’s up to me now to try and make some appearances before the end of the season.

John Marquis is an example to follow so I hope to get a few games off the bench initially then take it from there.”
