Inter Milan star Samuel Eto’o looks set to sign for Russia’s Anzhi Makhachkala this week, leaving the Italians desperate to find a replacement as soon as possible.
Manchester City’s Carlos Tevez is still a major target for the club but at present there is no movement in contract talks with the player. The San Siro based outfit have also shown an interest in Chelsea’s Didier Drogba to fill the gap, should Tevez rule out a move to Italy.
According to the Daily Mail, the Inter are seeking a 12-month loan move for the Drogba, with the option to purchase his services outright at the completion of the season.
Inter have also been linked with Atletico Madrid’s Diego Forlan, however the Uruguayan’s agent has ruled out any possibility of that move going through.
