Republic of Ireland striker Daryl Murphy has signed a loan deal with Championship side Ipswich Town.
Murphy,28, has not managed to hold down a spot for Celtic this season but played 21 times last year, scoring three goals, following his transfer from Sunderland.
It is his second spell at the Suffolk side, after joining on loan from Sunderland in February 2010, scoring six goals in 18 games.
“I’m looking forward to playing for the club again and we will see how it goes from there,” he told the club website.
“If I do well and the manager wants to extend my stay beyond the year then I certainly would be interested but for now all I want to concentrate on is playing games.”
