Craig Bellamy could make a sensational return to Liverpool after Manchester City agreed to let the Welsh striker leave for nothing.
City are keen to get Bellamy, who has two years left on his current deal, off the wage bill and are putting together a settlement to pay off the 95,000 a week striker.
That should clear the way for a return to Anfield with Kenny Dalglish interested in the former Newcastle and Celtic forward.
Bellamy spent a season with Liverpool under Rafa Benitez however despite impressing in patches his time at Anfield is remembered for his alleged attack on Jon Arne Riise with a golf club following a row.
Spurs and QPR are also said to be interested in Bellamy however it is understood that the player, who spent last season on loan with Cardiff, would be keen on a return to Anfield.
