Micah Richards has been rewarded with his return to form with a new four-year contract that will keep him at Manchester City until 2015. The 23-year-old right back has become a key part of Roberto Mancini’s side since the Italian took charge at the Etihad Stadium last season.
Richards’s who graduated from the Manchester City academy to become one of the top defenders in England and last season was recalled to the national side.
His agent Alex Levack of Sidekick Management confirmed the new deal telling of the defender’s joy at the new deal, saying “Micah is delighted to have signed this new deal and secure his future,”
“Manchester City is the place he wants to be as it is his home. It really is a fantastic achievement that Micah is the only player left at Manchester City who has come through the academy and is a first-team regular”
