Holders Sligo Rovers and Monaghan United will face each other again on Tuesday after their FAI Ford fourth round clash ended in a nil all draw.
Despite hitting the woodwork three times, through Eoin Doyle, Joseph Ndo and Matthew Blinkhorn, Sligo couldn’t find way a past Roddy Collins hard working and organised Monaghan side.
Both sides ended the night with 10 minutes with Sligo keeper Brendan Clarke see red for a last man tackle on Michael Isichei after 60 minutes and he followed off the pitch 15 minutes later by Monaghan’s Keith Quinn who was sent off for an off the ball clash with Sligo’s Richie Ryan.
Meanwhile at Flancare Park, Bohemians came from behind to beat Longford 3-1 and book their place in the quarter-finals of the FAI Cup
The hosts took an early lead through Craig Walsh but Bohs drew level just before the break through Aidan Downes.
The Dublin side too control after the break and went ahead courtesy of a Chris Deans own goal before they sealed the win 9 minutes from time through Killian Brennan stunning strike.
