Stoke are set to complete a triple signing ahead of Wednesday’s transfer deadline. Tony Pulis is close to signing Tottenham duo Wilson Palacios and Peter Crouch and reports suggest he has bid for Crystal Palace starlet Wilfred Zaha. Stoke are looking to improve their squad as they prepare for a debut season in Europe as well as competing domestically.

Stoke have been chasing Palacios and Crouch for most of the summer and Pulis is now finally set to land his targets. Harry Redknapp wouldn’t let the duo leave until he brought in players to replace them in the Spurs squad. Adebayor’s arrival seems to have meant Crouch is now free to leave White Hart Lane but it is understood that Redknapp is not keen on letting the former Liverpool striker leave.

According to reports the fee for the duo is £15 million, under the original demand from Chelsea which was £18 million.

Pulis has admitted that he wants to sign 5 players before Wednesday and the capture of the Spurs duo along with the already captured Upson and Woodgate would significantly improve the Potters squad. He has shown interest in one of Craig Bellamy and Shaun Wright-Phillips as he looks to provide competition for the wide places.

He has also made a bid for Crystal Palace striker Wilfred Zaha after he impressed in Palace’s win over Crawley in the Carling Cup. Cameron Jerome’s move to the Brittania broke down earlier in the summer but apparently talks are set to re-open between the two clubs over a possible move.

It could be a busy few days at the Brittania Stadium and there could be a fair few faces arriving at Stoke.
