La Liga club Espanyol have announced they have agreed a loan move for Man City’s Vladimir Weiss.

The 21 year old spent last season on loan with Rangers and he has travelled to Barcelona on Monday to seal the move. The Spanish club announced the deal on their website.

”Espanyol and Manchester City have reached an agreement in principle for the loan of Vladimir Weiss for one season.”

If the deal is completed, Weiss will then travel back to Dublin to join up with his Slovakia team mates for Friday’s crucial Euro 2012 qualifier.

He has spent spells at Bolton and Rangers in the past two years and has played just the one competitive match for Man City.
