Sunderland’s new on loan striker Nicklas Bendtner has vowed to never play for Arsenal again after what he called a frustrating few years at the Emirates.
He claims that Arsene Wenger forced him out of the club and has said he never wants to put on an Arsenal shirt again after the treatment he received. The Danish striker says he was never given a fair chance by Wenger. He also goes onto say that since his bad car crash two years ago he was never given a look in by Wenger.
“I will never go back to Arsenal. If I can have it my way, I will never play for them again, after my car accident I never really got the chance to earn a spot in the first team. That is over one-and-a-half years with no real chance to prove myself.”
Bendnter completed a deadline day move to Sunderland on loan with a view to a £8 million transfer at the end of the season. And the colourful Denmark international has since vowed never to play for Arsenal again because of the treatment he received.
“I am really looking forward to playing for Sunderland and then we will see next summer. I will find a new club – but I will not go back to Arsenal, that’s for sure.”
