Born To Sea, the half brother to champions Sea The Stars and Galileo is set to make his belated debut on a racecourse this weekend when he lines up in the Listed Blenheim Stakes at the Curragh.

The son of Invincible Spirit has been due to make his debut a number of months ago, however he has some niggling problems which have kept him off the track. His trainer John Oxx now feels that the time has come to take the wraps off the colt.

“Born To Sea is ready to run. There is no six furlong maiden I can run him in for two weeks and it’s only a mile maiden at the Curragh on Sunday. That’s no good to him so he will take his chance in the Blenheim” said Oxx.

“Not too many horses are expected to win a Listed race first time out. However it is the only suitable race that we can find. Just like Sea The Stars his first run will be an educational one and he will not be knocked about.”
