Carling Cup 4th Round draw

The Carling Cup 4th round draw took place on Saturday morning and League Two Aldershot have been drawn with Manchester United.

The game which will take at the EBS Stadium is the stand out tie of the fourth round but there are also plenty of other matches to wet your appetite. There are 5 all Premier League ties with Liverpool travelling to Stoke and Chelsea away to Everton the pick of the games. Arsenal will host Owen Coyle’s Bolton Wanderers at the Emirates while Man City travel to Wolves.

There will be two Championship teams in the quarter finals after there are two all Championship games with Crystal Palace hosting Southampton and Cardiff entertaining Burnley. In the final game, Newcastle face a tricky trip to Ewood Park to face Blackburn Rovers.

Aldershot are managed by Dean Holdsworth and are currently 11th in League Two. It’s a dream tie for them after they beat Rochdale in the last round.

All fourth round ties will be played in the week commencing 24th October.
