Ulster fly half Ian Humphreys has withdrawn from the starting 15 to face the Ospreys tomorrow at the Liberty Stadium after he suffered a recurrence of a shoulder injury picked up against Cardiff last week.

Humphreys , along with Darren Cave, had emerged as a doubt during the week however while Cave who has suffered an unfortunate repeat of the hamstring injury that hampered him last season was left out of the match day squad it was initially thought that Humphries would be fit to take the number 10 jersey for the game

However that is now not the case and instead Paddy Jackson will start in the number 10 jersey with 20 year old development player James McKinney on the bench.

McKinney will make his competitive debut if he takes to the pitch tomorrow.

Ulster: J Payne; C Gilroy, N Spence, L Marshall, I Whitten; P Jackson, P Marshall; D Fitzpatrick, A Kyriacou, J Cronin, L Stevenson, D Tuohy, P Wannenburg, C Henry, R Diack.

Replacements: N Brady, P McAllister, A Macklin, T Barker, W Faloon, B McIlroy, J McKinney, A D’Arcy.
