Champion Hurdler Hurricane Fly is likely to make his seasonal debut in Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown this November according to his trainer Willie Mullins.
The son of Montjeu went unbeaten last year and captured both the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham and Punchestown to confirm himself as the best hurdler either side of the Irish Sea.
His trainer said “”Hurricane Fly is back in training and most of the horses are back in now, so we’re riding out lots every day.
“The weather will probably dictate where we start with Hurricane.
“The Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown in November is an obvious place to start, but I don’t really like to start making plans before they have their first gallop.
“A few of them that had extended seasons, like Thousand Stars, are being given a bit more time, but the majority of them are back. This is always a good time of the season, as all the horses are well and look good.”
Hurricane Fly is a top price 7/4 with Paddy Power to claim back to back Champion Hurdles at Cheltenham in March.
