Liverpool line up young German star

Liverpool are reportedly keeping tabs on young Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mario Gotze with a view to making a move for the 21 year old in the January transfer window.

According reported in the German media Kenny Dalglish has sent scouts to watch the young German International in action.

Gotze who has been labeled “one of the best talents that we’ve ever had” by German Football Association’s technical director Matthias Sammer has played nine times for the German national team and is their joint youngster ever goal scorer.

Dalglish is aware that it would take a sizeable sum to land Gotze however the Liverpool manager is keen to land the player who he views as the long terms successor to Steven Gerrard
