The deadline for entry to this year’s National Lottery Dublin Marathon is next Monday, 3rd October at 5pm sharp. And race organisers are keen to impress on any runners, joggers or walkers who have been training and planning to take part this year that no late entries will be accepted.
“Every year we have hundreds and hundreds of requests for late entry, and every year we have to turn people away” said Race Director Jim Aughney. “While we understand it is very hard for people who have put in months of training to be told they can’t take part, there has to be a cut off point in order for us to be ready for the race field, so we would say to anyone out there who is still planning to take part but has not yet registered, get registered asap, don’t leave it to the deadline and lose out” added Jim.
Entry for the National Lottery Dublin Marathon is very easy and the short registration form can be completed online via the website www.dublinmarathon.ie
There are already over 11,500 entries for the 32nd edition of the National Lottery Dublin Marathon and for those who have already registered to take part, a course map and a video of the route can be found on the website.
Participants can pick up their race numbers and packs at the National Lottery Marathon Expo in the RDS Main Hall on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th October.
This year’s National Lottery Dublin Marathon will be broadcast live on RTE 2 from 9.15am, with the race getting underway slightly later than previous years at 9.45am (Wheelchair) and 10am (main field)
