Despite having the likes of Andy Carroll, Luis Suarez and Craig Bellamy on his books reports in the online and English media are linking Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish with a move for Leandro Damiao.

The Internacional striker, currently out with a hamstring injury, is rated as one of the one of the hottest talents to emerge in recent times in South America having scored 13 goals in 22 games so far this campaign.

The 22 year old, who has been linked with a move to Spurs, is already a Brazilian international having made his debut this year and Liverpool are hoping to try and tempt the club to part with their star striker and believe that a bid of £20million could be enough to persuade them to sell.

Damiao recently spoke of his desire to play in Europe, stating: “If there is an opportunity to play in Europe, of course I would like it.”

Liverpool assistant manager Steve Clark reportedly watched the striker in action when Brazil meet Ghana in a friendly at Craven Cottage earlier this year.
