France have made two changes for their World Cup quarter final showdown with England.
Coach Marc Lievermont recalls prop Nicolas Mas and Imanoal Harinordoquy for the clash on Saturday in Auckland. “We did not win the right to be happy,” Lievremont said. “I do not think there are internal problems, just a frustration on my part but also the players. And also of shame after the match last Saturday. All this will, hopefully, generate a reaction.”
Mas, who missed three pool games with a hamstring injury returns to bolster the French scrum while the experienced Harinordoquy takes his place at number 8. Raphael Lakafia misses out and is omitted from the match day squad altogether and is replaced by Louis Picamoles on the bench. Fabrice Estebanez is banned for three weeks and is replaced on the bench by David Marty.
