Newcastle and Liverpool are both interesting in signing Leicester teenager Jeffrey Schlupp.
The 18 year old striker is a product of the Foxes’ youth Academy, and made his senior bow for the club in August – scoring a hat-trick in the Carling Cup and according to the Daily Mail, the Barclays Premier League duo are both in the hunt for the versatile striker with Leicester are expecting bids for the 18-year-old in the January transfer window.
Last season the young German enjoyed a loan spell with Brentford scoring six goals in 10 appearances for the Bees during his stint at Griffin Park and he form has alerted the likes of Liverpool and Newcastle to his talents.
Liverpool were the first to be linked with Schlupp for however Newcastle are now believed to be monitoring him, with Liverpool keen to bolster their youth set up and Newcastle boss Alan Pardew keen to strengthen his forward line Leicester will be hoping for a bidding war between the two.
