2012 Ulster football draw and fixture times

The two big teams in Ulster this past decade have been drawn to face each other in this year’s quarter finals, with Tyrone taking on Armagh in the 2012 campaign. Meanwhile, the current holders Donegal will have to win four matches if they are to retain their title.

Donegal face an improving Cavan side in the preliminary round and this will be no easy tie, with the Breffni men backboned by a number of this years underage stars. The winners will be rewarded with a home tie against Derry, a side that have promised much over the years, but this far, failed to deliver.

Down, the 2010 All Ireland finalists look to have an easier run to the provincial decider this season and with James McCartan already committing for another year, he could well take his side all the way in Ulster next summer.
