Dundee United are hopeful that Sean Dillon will be fit in time for their next Scottish Premier League encounter against Aberdeen.
The former Bohemians defender has been out with a calf injury since the end of August however he has stepped up his recovery and has been putting time in with the Tangerines physio while he also attends a coaching course.
According to coach Gary Kirk, the return of the 28 year old to the to the team would be a welcome boost for the squad.
He said: “Sean is one of those who have been away doing their badges but he has been coming back to see our physio, Jeff Clarke, to work on the injury.
“We are hoping he will make it for Aberdeen because he is one of our more consistent performers.”
