David Pleat could be set for a sensational return to White Hart Lane.

The former Tottenham manager has been offered a scouting job at the north London club.

Former Luton boss Pleat, who has been manager at White Hart Lane four times, three of which were as caretaker, recently left his role as a football consultant with Nottingham Forest and has now been offered the chance to return to London to scout players from Britain and abroad for Harry Redknapp.

It remains to be seen if the 66-year-old, who also works as a media pundit, will accept the position.
