The Antrim county board have appointed Jerry Wallace as the new hurling manager.

Wallace paid tribute to the work that Dinny Cahill had put into Saffron hurling over the past two years. Cahill was appointed manager of the Antrim senior hurling team for a second term in November 2009 after managing the team in 2001.

Former Antrim trainer Jerry Wallace and Ex Down hurling manager John Crossey had both been nominated for the role with Wallace getting the nod.
