Liverpool will have to wait until Marco Bueno’s 18th birthday to try and secure the player’s signature.

The Mexican striker, dubbed ‘the new Chicharito’ by Clubcall, emerged as a target for the Reds during the U17 World Championships in Mexico, where he had a standout tournament. His performances earned him a trial with the Premier League outfit.

Newspaper reports suggest that Kenny Daglish is keen to snap up the youngster as soon as possible but have been told by Pachuca sports vice president Andres Fassi that Liverpool must now wait until March 31st 2012, when the player celebrates his 18th birthday.

“We received a letter last week from Liverpool, who want the player to go there when he turns 18,” said Fassi.
