Down star Clarke to resume AFL Career

Down forward Martin Clarke will miss his county’s 2012 campaign after deciding to return to Australia and rejoin former club Collingwood.

Clarke return to Melbourne to resume his AFL career after pending the last two season’s playing inter county football with Down.

The 23-year-old played a vital role as Down qualified for the All-Ireland final in 2010 however speculation has linked in him with a return to Australia for most of this season.

Clarke, who won an AFL Gran final medal in 2010, played 46 games for Collingwood in his first spell with Collingwood between 2007 and 2009.
