Queens Park Rangers are manager Neil Warnock is ready to make another move for Tottenham defender Sebastien Bassong in January, according to The Daily Mirror.
The 25-year-old had been linked with a move to the Premiership new boys during the summer transfer window but was forced to stay at White Hart Lane after Spurs failed in their own attempts to sign Gary Cahill from Bolton.
However Warnock, who is meeting with chairman Tony Fernandes to discuss the club’s January transfer policy, looks set to a move for Bassong top of the list.
“We have already begun talking about what we are going to do in January and have a number of ideas,” said Warnock.
“There are so many things that are possibilities and if I ask for a certain player, the board will support me. At the moment, a striker and a defender are my two priorities.”
Bassong moved to Tottenham from Newcastle in 2010 in an 8 million deal and has gone on to make 40 appearances for Spurs
