Chelsea defender Alex is believed to be a target for Italian giants Juventus and will make an official bid in the January transfer window according to reports today.
The defender has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, to compatriot David Luiz, and is reportedly keen on a move to Italy.
Speaking to Sky Sport 24 Alex said “My agent has been contacted by Juventus, I am 29 years old and it would be a great opportunity.
“I would love to play in Italy and I hope I can realise this dream before I retire.”
A move abroad could be fast tracked in January as Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas is reportedly eager to recruit a new centre-back in the January window with Gary Cahill thought to be top of the shopping list.
