Shelbourne and St Patrick’s Athletic go head to head again in Monday’s FAI Ford cup semi final replay with a place in the final against Sligo Rovers up for grabs for the winners.
The two sides met on Friday at Tolka Park with Shels fight back to claim a replay despite being down to ten men.
St Pat’s have gone fifty years since their last FAI Cup victory and if they are to make the final they will do so without the services of Dave Mulcahy, Derek Pender, Anthony Murphy and Paul Crowley who are all ruled out due to suspension
Pete Mahon must also plan without Shane Guthrie, John O’Connor and Sean O’Connor as are all cup-tied and although Derek Doyle and Danny North are expected to be available for selection despite calf and hamstring problems.
Shelbourne’s cup run is in danger of costing them promotion having slipped form bring 10 points ahead at the top to third place although they are just two points off top side Monaghan.
Shels will be without injured duo Lorcan Fitzgerald and David McGill while Karl Bermingham and Conan Byrne are struggling ahead of the clash and face a late fitness test. Gareth Matthews is available again after suspension.
Tonight’s game at Richmond Park kicks off at 7.45pm and extra time and penalties will settle the tie if the sides are level at full time.
