Wolves and Everton are both interested in signing Argentine striker Maxi Lopez.
The 27 year-old currently on the books of Catania has caught the attention of the Premier League sides with his impressive performances in Serie A over the last 12 months.
According to LesTraferts.com, the striker who has scored 22 goals in 57 appearances for the Italians, has apparently fallen out with his coach Vincenzo Montella and was dropped for the clash with Juventus prompting speculation that he could leave in January.
Both Wolves and Everton are reportedly looking to bolster their strike force after shot shy starts to the season, with the Goodison outfit in particular keen to bring in additional striking resources after selling both Jermaine Beckfordand Yakubu Aiyegbeni during the summer.
Lopez failed to make an impact with Barcelona whom he joined for 16.5million in 2005 however he has impressed in loan spells with FC Moscow, Gremio and Real Mallorca.
It is thought that the former River Plate striker could be available for around €6 million although Lazio and fellow Italian side Novara are also monitoring the season.
