Aidan O’Brien’s former Australian superstar So You Think looks set to run in the Breeders’ Cup Classic at Churchill Downs next month.

Part-owner Dato Tan Chin Nam has confirmed that he wishes to see the six-year-old attempt to conquer America after winning top grade races in both Australia and Europe.

The dual Cox Plate winner has shown that he is just as good on this side of the world, winning the Irish Champion Stakes, Tattersalls Gold Cup and Coral Eclipse this season. He also finished runner-up in the English Champion Stakes and ran a fine fourth in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.

The Breeders’ Cup Classic could be next on the agenda for the horse. If he has not had too much racing this season,he must have a serious chance of adding to his honours in the US.

“He could have won three Cox Plates but we wanted to take on the world,” Chin Nam told www.smh.com.au.

“He has showcased Australian racing to the world and showed that we can match them. It has taken two course records to beat him (in his last two starts). I hope he can go better in America”.
