Liverpool are understood to be preparing a move for Marko Marin, according to reports in the Daily Mail.

While fellow Premiership clubs Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea have been watching Werder Bremen’s 22-year-old playmaker, Kenny Dalglish’s side are now favourites to win the race for the players signature. The winger, who was born in Yugoslavia, moved to Germany as a child, and has represented his adopted country at international level. He represented the German’s at the World Cup in South Africa and has now established himself as an important member of the squad.

Marin has been a Bremen player since 2009 but has attracted interest from a number of Europe’s top clubs. It seems only a matter of time before he makes the move to the Premier League, with a January move anticipated.
