Alex Ferguson and Andre Villas-Boas are preparing bids for Juventus attacking midfielder Mislos Krasic after missing out on Wesley Sneidjer and Luka Modric during the summer transfer window.
Krasic moved to the Old Lady from CSKA Moscow in 2010 after attracting attention for his speed, direct running and technique in the Russian league, he made an initial impact under Luigi Delneri but has struggled to find his place in the side under new boss Antonio Conte.
According to Corriere dello Sport Ferguson has inquired about the possibility of taking the Serb on loan for six months as Krasic would help bolster their squad ahead of a push for the premier league and Champions League as he is not cup-tied for the competition.
Conte has reiterated that he is an important player in the squad but the Serbian international is growing disillusioned after spending much of the season on the bench.
“He is happy to be at Juventus, but he is not a player for the bench,” Krasic’s agent has said. “If this situation continues, then we will look elsewhere for another solution.”
