Former Sydney Swan’s star Tadgh Kennelly has said that he may yet return and play for his native Kerry in 2012.
The 30 year old Listowel man will decide over the next few weeks whether to remain in his adopted country or return home and seek to add to his cv with the kingdom.
Initially, Kennelly had planned to stay in Australia to pursue a career in the media, but he may now put those plans on hold and decide to give the Irish game another go.
“Playing with Kerry is definitely a consideration, but there is an awful lot I have to consider privately and professionally,” said Kennelly.
“Where I am going to be in 10 years time? A lot of that will be in this decision I am going to make in the next couple of weeks. I am definitely considering it. I will sit down with my family and close friends and consider it.”
Kennelly won an All-Ireland medal with Kerry in 2009, but shocked fans of the kingdom when he returned to the AFL later that year.
