The Dublin County Board has reappointed All Ireland winning manager Pat Gilroy for another year.
In a short statement released by the board they confirmed Pat Gilroy would continue as manager of the county’s senior footballers.
“The Dublin County Committee have reappointed Pat Gilroy as manager of the Dublin senior football team for the 2012 season,” it read.
“Pat will finalise his management team when activity resumes in January.”
Gilroy, appointed on a three year deal in 2008, saved the best till last as he guided Dublin to their first All-Ireland SFC title since 1995, his contract coming to an end after the final win over Kerry.
Despite speculation that the St Vincents man might quit due to family and work commitments, he has decided to remain in charge for another 12 months.
