Tottenham have confirmed that defender Michael Dawson has undergone surgery to his right Achilles tendon, but have failed to give a timeline for his return to action.
Dawson picked up the injury during his sides 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Manchester City in August. It had been hoped that the injury would heal naturally, however it has failed to do so and the England internationalwill now go under the knife.
In a statement on the club’s official website reads: “Michael Dawson has today undergone surgery to his right Achilles tendon to assist with his recovery.
“Medical staff are pleased with his progress and he will be reviewed by the surgeon in early December, at which time a date for a return to full training will be determined.”
