Spurs set to lose out on Leandro

Tottenham are set to miss out on long term target Leandro Damiao after reports suggest that Juventus are ready to make a substantial offer.

The Internacional striker is one of the hottest properties in the game at the moment and has attracted interest from AC Milan and Barcelona among others. Spurs were close to signing the 22 year old during the summer but talks broke down due to failure to agree a transfer fee.

Harry Redknapp is still searching for that elusive striker it seems and despite the success of Adebayor’s spell at White Hart Lane, it seems Spurs are still on the hunt for a new frontman. Damiao has made an impressive start to his senior career, scoring 20 goals in 47 appearances. His form was rewarded with a call-up to the Brazil squad earlier this year.

According to media outlets in Italy, Juventus are ready to table a €20 million bid which should entice the Brazilian club to sell and the Italian giants hope to seal the deal before the window opens in January.
